Adventure is that place at the edge of your comfort zone
Always take 5 before you quit
There should never be a beat that goes undanced to.
“When all else fails, when you go to the workplace, just think of mother.”
“For anyone that works around flammable materials, don’t carry a lit wick while you’re handling them or you will provoke unspeakable misfortunes.”
“If you search risk tolerance on Google, it turns out that the strongest metaphor for it is mostly white men in business suits on a tightrope.”
"O maior risco que a gente corre é deixar a vida passar e não correr risco nenhum."
"O mundo evolui pelos transgressores."
"O fato é que se você se aprofundar em qualquer tema, em qualquer história da sua vida, você vai correr risco."
If we’re going to take on any challenges, we’re going to take on something that we perceive to be a risk. You should be quite clear that there’s a point to doing it.
Go towards those dark places and be curious about what’s in the shadows because those dark places are ultimately the sources of a lot of real and compelling human expression.
If you’re trying to create something powerful with a lot of impact, you have to be willing to lean into that discomfort.
I have found the importance in carving out space for things that don’t necessarily have a clear purpose or an obvious logic.
I think of taking a risk as an experiment, and there’s lots of different outcomes that you can get from that experiment. Whatever outcome you get, you learn something. There’s wisdom, there’s knowledge, there’s life experience.
Love what you do enough to take the risk, and love others enough to give your gift with the intention of adding value to their lives.
That’s the good thing about art: if you love it, it can save you and heal you.
Gratitude is everything.
You need to be ready to be able to accept total failure, and when you are, you’re much more ready to also really go for success.
It’s clear that conquering fear and overcoming obstacles is the one thing that makes a good story.
I think when you've gotten to a point where you are comfortable with certain risks, they kind of feel more like little challenges.
Risk is another word for adventure.
Isn't the true measure of risk life itself?
Who do we choose to trust, and maybe even more importantly, how do we choose who we're going to trust; is there any more human risk than that?
If this one doesn't start, those many almost can't.
Trusting yourself really becomes the root foundation for risk-taking.
Every form of violence is effectively a type of separation.
You need to be embarrassed by your first release, otherwise you're too late.
Do not do things to make money
Risk and opportunity come in a package.
There should never be a beat that goes undanced to.
The more we feel comfortable in the unknown and in taking risks, the better we will understand our value and worth.
Each time that we are courageous and brave enough to take a risk we're showing to ourselves that we're worth it.
When we risk, all we are doing is releasing insecurities and strengthening our knowledge.
I think we're meant to live fully and I think that allows us to bring our true selves to the world which allows us to make a difference in the world.
There is no reason that you have to be a certain age to be able to have wisdom or ideas as to how to make the world a better place.
There is no age limit or requirement to creativity
"The thing about fear is it tries to keep you thinking that you're alone and that nobody ever felt this way before."
The only thing that's holding us back from making these risky steps and risky actions in whatever area of your life it is is the limiting beliefs that we have and the narrative and story that we tell ourselves about what might happen
I think that we're meant to live great lives and we're meant to break through these limiting beliefs that we can bring our creativity and our full self to the world.
I'm really adding some value to your lives this morning.
"Risk is real. Fear is a reflex."
I've sought out inspiration not in books but being in real life
Money is not the key to happiness... If you pursue your dreams relentlessly the money will just follow
Think like a billionaire and spend like you're on minimum wage
Two minds are better than one, most times
When you dedicate yourself to your craft, you make yourself magnetic
Visualise your success. Dream about reaching your goal and imagine it every day when you get up
You have to be open to new experiences, new outcomes and new friends.
Be influenced but make up your own mind
You're going to have to start competing against yourself and yourself alone
We all make mistakes but then you let your emotions get involved and suddenly you think you can't do things. That's fucking bullshit.
There is no handbook, there is only intuition
It's your journey and you're in charge
You're going to have to pursue your journey of greatness in your own fashion
It's your selflessness that will become a catalyst for the respect that other people bestow on you.
What goes around absolutely comes around
Become a silent achiever.
Back yourself and believe in your cause.
You're going over to become comfortable with the decision to want more for yourself
Every part of your being will be tested and every one of your weaknesses will be found.
You'll have no one to guide you except your head and your heart... They'll help you learn the difference between wants and needs, fast and slow, right and wrong, and yes and no.
Finding your reason for being will become the biggest risk that you ever take
All you need is some friends and and a little bit of love
I'm passionate about dreams
You can fucking do it.
We've forgotten to believe in ourselves. We've forgotten to love ourselves.
Our lives have become cluttered with complication compromise.
Being inspired by greatness was daily ritual. It was as normal as hating vegetables.
Before life happened, all I ever dreamed about was being as great as jumping Joe Carter.
The only way that you can overcome {risk} is with persistence, preparation, determination and the courage to be selfless.
Risk never quits. Risk never sleeps.
I'm not the clothes on my back, the watch on my wrist or the car that I drive.
There's no 'i' in team but there's a fucking big one in risk.
"El riesgo de perseguir tus sueños es que se hagan realidad"
Truthfully, Connection is greater than Separation. Are you at a place where you are ready to bloom with this. Are you at a place where you are willing to risk and grow, and be even more beautiful, to realize that connection.
Separation is no longer an acceptable risk.
Take the risk of connection. Let go of the risk of separation. We need THAT.
Today and going forward, the risk of separation is so much greater than the risk of connection.
Are you separating and defending yourself, isolating yourself from feeling, from hurting? Have you kept yourself from beauty? I hope not. Because you all are the designers, the artists, the authors, the builders. I hope you take that risk to stay connected to beauty.
Isn't the true measure of risk, 'Life' itself?
One of the things that's so cool about 'RISK' is that it's a concept, a verb, and it's a feeling. And if you don't get in touch with that feeling of 'risk', I don't know if you're living.
To be so crippled by the fear of the unknown, that you refuse to take a risk you end up missing out on a lot of what your life's blessings may end up being.
To master risk, we first have to learn how to master fear.
If you ever really gonna risk anything on anything: Risk it on the ones you love.
Risk is the way humans learn. That was eye opening to us. It is really through risk that you test your boundaries.
There's only one emotion for a drag queen stronger than love, and it's jealousy.
Trabaje feliz, haga cosas hermosas
Risk is the way that humans learn.
Every bit of business, in its simplest form, is about risk and reward.
"O maior risco é aquele que você não percebe."
I failed on national TV, so what's next? I don't care.
You don't even know your neighbours, you don't trust people who are walking on the streets. While people you meet could actually potentially change your life.
Who ever took the risk to say goodbye to your house or your appartment? Whoa, ok.. We're all friends now, that's good!
One thing that is not risky is hope and we need it.
I believe you have to follow what drives you, be grateful when things go your way. You have to use your head and your heart, and you have to have a bit of good luck now and then.
Bliss can be found in the most unlikely moments.
What counts for me today is: I had a vision, I went for it, and I enjoyed the result of my courage. Since then, I have trusted my instinct, I made mistakes, paid for them, learned quickly, and kept moving.
