Theme 4: Reuse

I think you have to deliberately devise ways for people to connect. To give them permission to connect in ways that are different.

I love the idea that when you've got no bin, just get rid of the bin, then all of the sudden you need to look at everything that generates waste.

Design your life in a way that allows you to serve others.

We have to be worried about construction waste, both because of legacy that we lose and the memory that we lose and because of the material environment.

The built environment has to be addressed in terms of existing buildings.

The constitution states that the purpose of copyright is to promote the progress of science and the musical arts.

Everything is an evolutionary process

We don't need to create this stuff. If we can't go without creative this stuff, let's find something to do with it

I'm sure we all have those ideas that we think about that sound a little too crazy and are kind of embarrassing to share. But I think we should all share those more often, so I'll go first...

Surround yourself with like minded people, and good things really do tend to happen.

Your network is like your family. Treat them well.

You shouldn't have to ask permission to create something effectively new.

We need to stop selling and start telling.

We obsess about our coffee, but we don't obsess about the things that are really important—our food.

Just because something was designed for a certain purpose, doesn't mean you have to use it that way.

Leave your ego at the door.

View every working relationship as a co-creation to create interesting dialogue.
