Make a lot of friends.

You never know when they’ll be useful, the more people you know, the easier your life will be

Bookmark websites.

I literally print them out and sort them into folders, which allows me to lay them out and discuss them.

Never, never, never delete your files.

You really never know when you will need them.

Keep old notebooks.

You never know when something you write might apply to something you’re doing later.

Respect your ex-colleagues.

Respect the people you used to work with because you will see them again. Don’t burn bridges.
