You have to have confidence in yourself and your own ability, before you're willing to help another.

If we can tune into our bodies, we can build some space (a window of tolerance) when stress arrives. With this, we can be in control and self empowered.

Tell your story.

It's all based around storytelling. I ask all the speakers that come to speak at the New Narrative--there's just two big things that I ask them for: be brave and tell a story.

While jellyfish may not be our overlords, their numbers seem to be increasing.

The more personal you get, the more universal it is.

Justice to me means that we take a step outside of ourselves and try to have some empathy for one another, and not just rely on the systems all the time.

Send one scary email today. A scary email is sending an email to someone who has no reason to say yes to what I'm asking or who will certainly reject me. If you got one, send it. Start and start small.

I realized there’s a difference between writing it and performing it. When you speak it into existence, when you speak your emotions and let yourself go and really be vulnerable, it unlocks a part of you that’s been lost for so long.

Being inclusive means you always have to adapt. You have to adapt to the people who are in the room.

What do people need to hear? They need to hear that they’re not being judged.

There were only people from all over the world, just telling me to keep going and doing it.

When we think about justice, we rarely think about empathy and we rarely think about love.

My desire to have economic security and independence probably played a bigger role than I even realized in starting my business.
