I love to think that we're all these cultural beneficiaries, agents, and eventual ancestors regardless of whether we ever have children. We are born into a world, we try to pick up on the ways we're socialized and interact with people, hopefully, we interrogate what we value and where that comes from and how it manifests...and eventually, we'll each play an individual role in collectively passing down a world. That is a sacred trust.

It's important to understand that while we're building our communities, we really have to do everything we can to support it.

If one of us succeeds, then all of us succeed.

In an attention starved world, engagement matters.

You're going to hear a lot about making your business or your project scalable and that's really important, but it's also really important to make things well and make them right on a small scale and test them and prototype.

We really hate the myth of the lone entrepreneur, because it just doesn't exist. There's no solo genius. You have to recognize your support networks and the people who work with you to accomplish a goal.

Start thinking more with your heart and less with your head. Make really big life changes if you need them to be happy.

Keep an open mind and learn as much as you can.

Ask yourself, ‘Does this need to be said?’ Is what I'm thinking about saying really need to be said. Then ask yourself, ‘Does this really need to be said right now?’ And then, ‘Does this really need to be said right now by me?’

All I did was go into work every day and be friendly towards people.
