Susanne shares her knowledge as a veteran graphic designer and award winning art director on what colors mean and how she employs them for capturing the feel and character of a project.
About the speaker
Susanne Ekelund is an art director and graphic designer with over 25 years experience. She is passionate about capturing the essence of her clients companies, projects and ideas to visualise and communicate their vision in colours, typography, design and images. She is the founder of SE IDEA, a design and communications agency built around a network of competencies. At SE IDEA Susanne works as creative director as well as strategic project and production manager. Successful collaborations with customers and skilled business partners have lead to SE IDEA being nominated and winning several awards.
Susanne has studied at Målarskolan Forum, Gerlesborgsskolan, MacMeckarna, Forsberg's school, and Mid Sweden University, as well as gained experience with ad agencies and her own design studios. She has lectured at universities, is involved in boards and jury work, has moderated at Pecha Kuchor and emceed at Poesy poetry festival in Västernorrland.
Back in Malmö after a 17 year absence, Susanne sees a city with a new vision and a belief in the future - "Then Malmö seemed scarlet, now the city feels more like orange, and spirited green."
