Gareth Strange talks about embracing the imperfections
About the speaker

Gareth is a graphic designer and illustrator at Bluegg, based in Cardiff Bay. Working with a talented bunch of designers, developers and content specialists he helps bring brands and websites to life. When he’s not designing stuff, you’ll find him running or drinking whisky, but never at the same time.
Becoming a designer has its obstacles – Gareth is going to discuss his relationship with ink and how he learned to embrace the imperfections of hand rendered typography and illustrations. Doing this on a daily basis for many different types of client can be challenging, frustrating and great fun, all at once. There’s a journey and a process to finding the right tone and style to suit a client’s personality – and each is unique in it’s own way.
Gareth will talk about some of the people, places and projects that inspire him, as well as a look at some of his recent work and processes. Enjoy!
