April 20, 8:00am - 10:00am EDT. Hosted at Station House
part of a series on Game
About the speaker
In our creative culture, one surefire way to mediocrity is to follow the follower. It happens in business and in life. Esteban Valdez urges us to play the game using a different set of rules.
Esteban Valdez is an award-winning director/producer and the founder of Echo Bridge, a local 2D animation studio. He started as an animator, producing commercials and music videos, then moved on to direct and produce shows for Nickelodeon. After establishing his own studio, he started directing and producing on shows for FOX, FXX, Amazon Studios, and Netflix. With 18 years of animation industry experience, he shares his approach to business and life, and the way he’s played the game to get where he is today.
Roundhouse is a creative production studio rooted in video, motion graphics, and powerful storytelling. From their self-sustaining net-zero studio in sunny St. Pete, they provide clients from coast to coast with stories that evoke emotion and inspire action. As the CreativeMornings/SP headquarters and A/V partner, the studio provides monthly support to the chapter’s ongoing operation.
Located in downtown St. Pete, Station House is dedicated to providing a comfortable, yet dynamic environment in which guests can interact socially or professionally, work or co-work quietly, enjoy food, drinks and entertainment, and relax peacefully. Station House strives to create a cozy, yet progressive and hip epicenter for businesses and entrepreneurs from all walks of life by creating a communal environment and setting a standard of service that exceeds the expectations of their guests.
MADE is a coffee cannery located in downtown St. Pete. They focus strictly on cold coffee and they roast, brew and can in house, using only the finest ingredients and processes. They offer canned and kegged Cold Brew and Nitro options. MADE Coffee is on tap at bars and restaurants throughout the Tampa Bay area, and for sale in the can at local grocers and markets (including Publix!).
Rollin’ Oats is a locally owned, natural food market and café serving the Tampa Bay community since 1994. In their two locations, St. Petersburg and South Tampa, they offer a wide range of products from all natural grocery and 100% USDA organic produce, to wellness supplements, vitamins, and clean body care products, as well as a comprehensive deli and café.
SnapThis! is a GIF photo booth — a fun, innovative twist on the classic static photo booth that provides a faster, easier, more engaging way to capture your event. This portable GIF booth snaps images, loops them into a GIF, and sends them directly to your guests. SnapThis! is a branch of Andrejka Photography, and travels far and wide to bring GIF fun to events all over the country.
Join us downtown at Station House for a talk about GAME. Doors open at 8:00am, programming starts around 8:30, and pre-registration is required (but free!). Typical DTSP parking, so please walk, bike, carpool, or take public transportation if you can.
We’ll have a community BINGO game (designed by Jimmy Breen) for prizes, treats from Rollin’ Oats, cold and hot beverages thanks to MADE Coffee and TeBella Tea Co, and SnapThis! GIF Booth is back to capture all our early-morning silliness.
In order to ensure our global impact is more about inspiration than garbage, we ask that you please BRING YOUR OWN MUG. Extra credit for bringing a mug AND a new friend.
