It was a gut instinct, and documentarian Eddie Saunsoci acted on it. His experience at Standing Rock, one of the country’s largest Native American reservations, has had a profound impact on his life. About the speaker

Edward Saunsoci (Omaha Nation) is an Afro/Indigenous storyteller that uses creative media to amplify the voice of the unheard. As a cultural documentarian, he is prideful in his North Omaha upbringing and indigenous Omaha Tribe traditions.

His work centers on acknowledging/processing of generational trauma from many angles and perspectives. He is on the board for Men Against Domestic Violence Action Coalition (MADVAC), WEDVLP Basketball fund and runs his own creative agency Altr Digital. Which facilitates a course of digital storytelling for middle school students (The jr. Creatives) and a visual storytelling platform, The Ancstrs.
