About the speaker

Andrew Szeto is a passionate skateboarder and craftsman who has traveled the world capturing skateboarding culture with his camera. As a dedicated woodworker with seven years of experience, he specializes in bespoke paddles and admires mid-century modern furniture.

In his workshop, Andrew relies on a good ruler, five-minute epoxy, and a reliable pencil, preferring power tools for their efficiency. He enjoys working with both solid wood and veneer, particularly the vibrant, dyed maple from skateboards, despite its challenges.

Although Andrew's work is full of patterns, his journey has been anything but. Breaking patterns and expectations has been constant his entire life and he'll be sharing how we can do the same.
