You could have any life that you want, but you have to decide out what you're in pursuit of.

We really, strongly believe that we can do something special with the people we work with.

Our values have become our marketing.

When you're early in your career, you can start with your tools too much instead of starting with the idea.

What we owe our good clients as designers is loyalty, honesty, dedication, and tenacity.

The trick is to lavish time on the good clients and minimize time on the bad clients.

If you do it right, the conversation you have in a meeting with a client is 99% about their business and their goals, and 1% about these esoteric tools that we as graphic designers have to help them achieve those goals.

One nice thing about failure is when you go through it at the end you can sort of take stock and say "OK, that was a failure. And it wasn't that bad."

Self-efficacy is defined as you have a sense of the world, you have a sense of your place in it, and that you believe that you can achieve what you've set out to do. Isn't that lovely? Think about how different that feels from most people's lives.

I erased the entire list [of tasks]. I just don't know if these things are the most important things to work on anymore. And, if they are important, they'll come back.

I decided to not show any slides. Can you imagine that? A designer who's not going to show any slides.

Sometimes, we don't know all of these hidden backstories. All it takes is looking at something a little bit differently and trying to find out more. Sometimes it changes your life!

The future should be strange, it should be weird, quirky, provocative, dangerous, difficult, strange in a bubble creative.
