The really lovely thing about moving to a different country is that, where at home you become accustomed to loads of stuff, if you move away your eyes are really opened.

If you really wanted to make an impactful change on South African society at large, we would have to start by influencing culture.

So I decided to turn that force outwards. To turn shame into anger and to turn anger into change.

There is nothing that we can do to erase what happened in the past but we can work on what’s happening in the present.

What would we be prepared to kinda sacrifice to kinda maintain our current consumption ?

But we choose how our past informs our future and what we’ll do with all the beautiful moments in between. We choose which mountains we’ll climb or which ones we’ll attempt to carry. We choose how we’ll respond to the injustices of the world or which ones we’ll turn a blind eye to. But most importantly we choose how we’ll show up in the world. What contributions we’ll make. What rules we’ll break for the better. And with love as your compass you’ll always end up exactly where you belong. Right in the mist of fulfilling your purpose.

We need to master our craft, and then get over it and focus on the people.

People are more important than craft.

I love business cards. I think they're great, they are these great little paper trinkets and they have so much of our personality in them, and they tell a story right in this little format. And we collect them and trade them—they're kind of like Pokemon for adults.

It shouldn't be books vs ebooks, it should be books and ebooks.

Visual language, it's not just there to be seen, it also interacts with all of our senses!
