At this point of my career, I want to be as open as humanly possible. Being open about the processes that have made me who I am as well as processes I am going through right now give people I work with a better understanding of who are they working with. When I see other people being transparent of their processes instead of hiding behind facades, for me, it creates an atmosphere of trust, which is essential for every work process.

You know that books are marks on black paper, that printed or handmade books are, in a sense, the essence of civilization because they have given us a tangible way to communicate with each other.

Be willing to learn in public.

In my writing, I prioritize my humanity and my willingness to show up as a human as more important than the medium itself. More important than the tools, the techniques, the medium, is choosing to show up as a human. As someone saying I don't have this all figured out, but here I am anyway.

So, wonder if this open state of mind that is best served by having a sense of curiosity rather than resistance to the unknown. When we embrace wonder we are willing to discover. Now being willing to wonder and ask questions... that's a big challenge.

Both of those things require hard work, you are in love because you work very hard every single day of your life to stay in love, you find a job that brings you ultimate joy because you work hard every single day to serve those around you, and you maintain that joy.

I'm not fighting for the right to be fat, I think we should accept all bodies. There is no ideal body. Body Positivism is about accepting who you are and develop a good mental health related to your self image.

What I was discovering with these habits, is that they actually fit together like puzzle pieces. If you want to get up and have breakfast, it's probably a good idea that you wake up a little bit earlier. And to wake up earlier, it's probably a good idea that you go to bed the night before a bit earlier. And so to sleep better it's probably a good idea to turn off your phone and not read the whole internet before you try to go to bed.

Every form of violence is effectively a type of separation.

While the journey ahead is still tough, we still have the opportunity to keep going and keep working and keep fighting.

But this is where brokenness led me... it led me to this idea of using what we've been given. Using our gifts and talents and our hopes and our dreams to make a difference.
