Award-winning artist Yana Fortep Yakimova shares how she walked away from global stages to find healing through art, yoga, and embracing every part of herself.

After decades performing on international stages as an award-winning singer, Yana Fortep Yakimova realized she was searching for love and fulfillment in all the wrong places. Feeling empty despite external success, she walked away from her music career to immerse herself in Kundalini Yoga, meditation, psychology, energy healing, and therapy. Through this journey, Yana discovered that true healing comes from embracing every part of who we are—including the hidden, suppressed selves that can manifest as mental and physical challenges. Her short film “My Hidden Archetypes” explores this concept through sound, movement, and visual storytelling, inviting audiences into transformative spaces of self-exploration. In this talk, Yana shares her personal story of transformation and introduces her project “Discover Your Hidden Archetypes"—born from years of research into the many selves within each person. She demonstrates how art can be healing, and healing can be art, offering a gentle reminder that wholeness comes from making peace with all our different parts.
