To celebrate the end of another fantastic CreativeMornings year, we once again turned the mic to our audience. Our theme was MAKE, so we asked folks to speak about anything pertaining to making—what you make, why you make, or your philosophy around making.

Emily Fischer was the last speaker at our Audience Takes the Stage event.

About the speaker

Emily Fischer started the SoftMaps quilt project in 2002 as an academic experiment in tactile way-finding. The quilts were inspired by Emily’s mother, Peggy, who had begun losing her eyesight from complications of glaucoma.
