About the speaker

Mr. Taulant Bino is a lecturer of Ecology at Polis University in Tirana and Head of the Albanian Ornithological Society, based in Tirana. He holds a PhD in Biology of Evolution and Ecology from Montpellier II University of Science and Technique of Languedoc. He brings to the Creative Mornings his experience as ornithologist, ecologist, lecturer and environmental expert.
Since his graduation, Mr. Bino has been working on birds in Albania and in the surrounding countries. He is the author of the first guide book on birds of Albania and numerous publications on birds and nature conservation. He is also an active member of the Non-Governmental Organisations working on nature conservation. As part of the Albanian Ornithological Society he has also been working intensively on the field of bird conservation by designating IBAs in Albania, developing and implementing National Action Plan for species of conservation concern, transposing EU Bird and Habitats Directives in national legislation and leading projects on bird conservation and bird monitoring.
Above all, he remains a naturalist, supported by his fascination for nature since his childhood in the outskirts of Tirana.
