Jake Rothschild gives a fresh take on how anyone can blend spice and creativity into their life!

About the speaker

Jake Rothschild has been following in the footsteps of his childhood idol Willy Wonka since he created the first instant all natural hot chocolate mix in 1986 while a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the founder of Jake’s Ice Creams and The Cooking Schools, both based in Atlanta, GA. A native of North Carolina, Jake has made Historic College Park his home for the past 18 years. There he lives on an urban farm compound he lovingly calls Sweet Selma Farms (named for his great Aunt Selma who was a well-known farmer in her own right in North Carolina). Figs, peaches, grapes, blueberries, and herbs are his specialty.

Committed to helping others learn food from growing, to cooking, to selling, Jake also directs Our Village Kitchens, a division of Hunger & Hope, a nonprofit incubator designed to help small business start-ups launch their food concepts.
