Ellen Young relates her cancer experience, and its consequences, in a meaningful, down-to-earth way, bringing CreativeMornings an insider’s view on confronting challenging situations and topics.

In a world where we are taught to be certain and vulnerability is synonymous with weakness, how can we slow down and question, create, and enjoy purposeful choices, and identities? Together, we look inward and challenge our own processes, narratives, and identities. With a vulnerable, honest, and welcoming environment, we may all leave (and live) a little more open, a little more empathetic, and a little more curious.

About the speaker

Coming to Oslo from America’s Wild West, Ellen has embraced a jack-of-all-trades mentality to the academic and working world. With experience hosting discussions about queer and disabled identities, Ellen aims to bring something new and valuable to people’s stories, and currently consults about the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She's a lover of street art, traveling and speaking with strangers about the importance of feminism, as the cheerleader you never knew you needed.
