About the speaker

Hilde Østby is an author, journalist and cultural historian on a quest for creativity.
She has written four critically acclaimed books that have been translated into 20 languages.
One of her books, Kreativitet (Cappelen Damm), was a story about the history of creativity, the science behind ideas, and why daydreamers should save the world.
From the insights of musicians, comedians, philosophers, writers, artists and researchers, Hilde explored the importance of flow and direction, procrastination and deadline, the nature of curiosity and creative genius.
Hilde knows a lot about how the brain works when we work creatively and, as a self-proclaimed procrastinator, she can give us valuable insights on how to understand our unique creative mind.
