The dream of bringing together like-minded creative people in a relaxed and collaborative environment
About the speaker
Pop and Scott are somewhat local legends! Poppy has been a florist for 15 years and in her 12 years in Melbourne has been beautifying homes, events, restaurants and venues across the city. Scotty on the other hand is a trained plumber, and has previously worked in the skate industry in event and team management. The couple have always had a passion for making furniture in the shed for themselves, with a love for beautiful, recalled timbers in refined designs. They created products that they wanted in their home and quite organically crossed over into a furniture making business.
In 2012 Poppy and Scott founded ‘Pop and Scott’ a collaborative workspace in Northcote. Where Scott is able to make furniture and Poppy is able to paint her pots and run her floral studio. From this they have grown to be able to bring together like-minded creative people in a relaxed and collaborative environment. A space dedicated to those who appreciate beautifully designed, handmade products as much as Poppy and Scott do. Somewhere they feel all those involved would be inspired by each others’ ideas and learn from each others’ skills. From this collaborative workspace came a showroom that allows for showcasing the work of many of their clever creative friends and studio mates.
