About the speaker

Born in 1973 in Santiago, Chile, Pablo Hannon is a multidisciplinary designer at Hectica and a founder of the graphic design festival Beyonderground.

After 6 years at the interior design agency Creneau International, Pablo co-founded the design studio Hectica in 2005. Its concept driven crossover creativity connects graphics to the product, interior design, photography and illustration. Clients range from the global: Lee, Levi’s, Adidas to the very local: UHasselt, Retro Velinx, Paplou.

Beyonderground is an international festival of graphic joy and creativity, which aims to provide a platform for great new talent from all over Europe (as well as the US). The festival offers an international selection of inspirational talks and performances by top notch artists and designers from a variety of fields such as graphic design, illustration, typography, street art and music. It’s a young festival: it was born in 2013, with a first edition in Hasselt, a second one in Helsinki, and now coming back in Hasselt for the third edition, on May 1&2.

Another project of Pablo is Things I Like a Lot, a blog about global and creative collaborations, where he is one of the founders and curators.

Pablo received the Henri Van De Velde Label in 2013, for the concept and design of the book “Cultuur3”. He lives on Instagram; rarely he finds words on Twitter.

At CreativeMornings Brussels, with a fresh angle on the theme of Climate, Pablo will talk about today’s ambiance for designers, and the extent to which we can shape it with our creativity, curiosity and energy.
