part of a series on Game
About the speaker
Lisa Wrightsman, Founder and Director of Street Soccer USA Sacramento, lives and breathes this month’s theme. For Lisa, soccer is more than just a game. It is a catalyst for change. When Lisa hit rock bottom and nearly died from addiction, she pulled herself up through the love of the game. And it’s how she’s now changing lives with Street Soccer USA, a nationwide non-profit that uses soccer to break the cycle of homelessness and domestic abuse. For Lisa, the soccer field is a canvas, a platform for ideas and creative problem-solving to be executed.
We are a community of 300 dreamers, builders, and changemakers. Sacramento’s largest coworking community is made up of more than 300 entrepreneurs, designers, coders, creatives, and changemakers who make our world better with the companies they build, the people they help, and the products they create.
Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op is here to provide the benefits of natural foods and products, economic cooperation, and sustainable practices to as many people as possible in the communities that we serve. We also want to be a trusted source of natural foods and products, a reliable resource for consumer information, and provide excellent customer service and a friendly and welcoming environment to all.
Phil Jaber went on a quest 25 years ago to make a really great cup of coffee. He wanted to create a blend that was flavorful, complex, rich, smooth, and low in acidity. His quest took him all over the world and after visiting thousands of coffee shops, Phil created over 30 of his own unique blends. He wanted to make sure the coffee making process embodied a personal and social feel, so he designed his own coffee station allowing for every cup to be crafted one cup at a time. By personalizing each cup of love, Phil had found a way to allow for individuality in every cup of love. Today, we have 40+ stores, and still believe in humanizing customer service, delivering on quality in all things, and challenging norms to make progress.
