part of a series on Community

About the speaker

Building Community around Sustainable Style.

Jenn Moore will talk about the steps she has taken to build a community around sustainable style.

Jennifer was born and raised in New Hampshire. She went to the University of New Hampshire and studied the two things you should avoid discussing at the dinner table – politics and religion. After living in Boston and Philadelphia for short spells she returned to the Seacoast. She currently works as a library clerk at the Portsmouth Public Library where she started the Annual Clothing Swap now in its 9th year. She has blogged for years about sustainable fashion and design on her blog called Recovergirl. Her blog led to opportunities to contribute to local publications like The Sound, New Hampshire magazine, and now She is the brainchild and co-creator of Project Upcycle, an annual fashion upcycling competition based out of 3S Artspace. She currently lives in Kittery, Maine with her husband, two teen boys, and two cats; Cocoa and Scratch.
