Giulio Pedretti

Videomaker and cultural planner, for almost twenty years he has been making documentaries and reportages in Italy and abroad, collaborating with film festivals, organizing events and cultural initiatives, and holding workshops dedicated to audiovisuals in schools of all levels, from elementary school to post-graduate courses.

Since 2007 he has founded and directed Superoptimisti - regional archive of family films. The objective of the archive is to find, collect, digitize, archive and enhance family films on film, in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum's Cinematheque, archives and cultural and production realities dedicated to home movies on a national and international level. In particular, the Superottimisti Archive is characterized by the activity of valorizing the preserved films, through the realization of screening events with live sound, films and documentaries, video installations for museums, artist's books, research projects and workshops dedicated to national and international family films.
