In our surreal world full of war, famine and disease, and increasingly blurred lines between fact and fiction, we need art to build empathy.

Ginger Shulick Porcella is the Executive Director and Chief Curator for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Tucson, AZ. In her talk, she blends art history and personal storytelling to make the case for art (and supporting artists) to build empathy and ground us all in an ever-increasingly surreal world.
