About the speaker
Dylan Mortimer is an award-winning artist and speaker who graduated with a BFA Kansas City Art Institute and a MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. He has been featured in the New York Times, The New York Post, The Chicago Sun, The Baltimore Sun, NPR, The Christian Science Monitor, The Kansas City Star, The Daily Mail, and several other publications internationally. He has created public art installations in New York, Chicago, Baltimore, Kansas City, Lawrence, and Washington. Dylan was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a respiratory disease for which he received a double lung transplant in 2017. He shares his story of healing and creativity around the world through his artwork and speaking.
