About the speaker
David Gravina is founder of co-design agency Digital Eskimo.
At the centre of everything David does is the idea of making meaningful change through the strategic design practice he founded in 2001, Digital Eskimo. DE’s work includes a broad mix of strategy, service, user experience, and communication design projects for some of Australia's most respected social impact, education and environmental brands.
David and the team at DE have also launched two social enterprise startups that are now self sufficient enterprises in their own right. Global campaign platform Do Gooder, which provides powerful advocacy tools for progressive campaigners helps hack open democracy through powerful tools that connect citizens with their representatives and other decision makers. And The Compost Revolution – Australia’s largest community of composters and worm farmers, which makes it easy for households to recycle food scraps into rich soil and liquid fertiliser at home, improving gardens and reducing the amount of rubbish we send to landfill each year.
David is an entrepreneur, an activist, a designer and since a boy, a maker. He is an outspoken advocate for the good we can do as a creative community in the 21st century and believes that there has never been a better time for designers to shape the world with passion and purpose.
