Carla Bristol is the owner of Gallerie 909, the preeminent art space presenting works by established and emerging artists of the African diaspora. She is also the founder of the Annual Black Arts and Film Festival, and Jamii—a private label clutch and clothing line. Born in Guyana and raised in New York, Carla is exceptionally active in the St. Pete community and strengthens it through art, culture, and decisive action. She recently closed her brick and mortar gallery space to pursue a more collaborative and flexible model through which to impact the community.
