About the speaker
I was born in Bajram Curri, where I spent my childhood, which has deeply influenced my being, still remaining an unbreakable bond and a beloved refuge of memories. I am the daughter of a famous doctor, who before his love for medicine, introduced me to books, to the world that was hidden behind those sometimes worn covers, but inside there were lights, colors, people I would like to know and times I would dream of living. I was also the daughter of a teacher who taught me order and ambition, the struggle with myself to always be in an improving challenge. Writing is a way of communication, of course, but above all it is the form with which I breathe and I am myself in a world where they don't let you be like that. Books have been added along with the years of my life, but I know that within them I can be whoever I want to be, live at any age and travel at any time
But medicine was also a passion and love completely different from literature, but just as powerful. I graduated in medicine and then specialized in Neurology and am currently a Neurologist and Head of Emergency at the American Hospital. But another passion that I discovered along the way was the desire for rules and laws. I graduated from the Faculty of Law as a lawyer, but although I have not practiced it as a profession, it has helped me later in my personal structuring, the services I lead and the principles of law on which I am based.
I am now also a lecturer and Head of the Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine (WBU).
