Astrid Poot tells about the importance of creating makers

Astrid Poot feels very strongly about the importance of teaching kids more than just digital skills. She talks about the importance of discovery and building confidence in young children by not only teaching them how to use a computer. But also teach them to take stuff apart and learning about inner workings of everyday objects and machines.

About the speaker

Astrid Poot is head of youth/family projects at Fonk in Amsterdam, specialized in children/youth/families, lecturer, blogger, maker and -most of all- learning forever (on creativity, play and learning).
