Andrea Carmichael shares her journey of self-discovery and the pain explored and experienced along the way.
About the speaker
Join us on December 15 to hear Andrea Carmichael speak on the theme of Pain in-person at the Screening Room Downtown.

Meet Andrea Carmichael
Andrea Carmichael is an educator, speaker, storyteller, comedian, dancer, and writer. She has been on an intense journey of self creation for the past 8 years which has opened up new avenues of expression beyond what she ever imagined for herself. You can catch her performing stand-up comedy and, soon, improv as well on stages around Tucson. She is a regular contributor to the F*ST Storytelling show. She is a member of the Lajkonik Polish Folk Dance group and travels to performances with the group around the US and internationally.
Andrea’s background includes working in linguistic development internationally, teaching German and Russian to middle and high school students, and working with local nonprofit organizations. She has an MA in German from Arizona State University (don’t hate her!) and a BA in European Studies from a university she chooses not to name because of its policies regarding LGBTQ individuals. Andrea is committed to fostering transformation for herself, for others, and for society through her humor, her storytelling, her work, and her daily life.
