Amy Climer teaches teams to be creative and innovative. She is a speaker, trainer, and coach in creativity, innovation, team development, and leadership. Using research-based practices, she teaches tools and techniques teams can use to innovate on demand.

Amy earned her Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University in 2016. Her dissertation research led to a new model and assessment scale for team creativity. She also holds a M.S. degree in Outdoor Education from University of New Hampshire and a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is trained or certified in Creative Problem Solving, Immunity to Change, and the FourSight Thinking System.

Amy is also host of The Deliberate Creative, a podcast and blog designed to teach others how to facilitate innovation in teams. She designed Climer Cards, a creativity and teambuilding tool used by thousands to deepen team conversations and generate ideas. In 2016, she won the Karl Rohnke Creativity Award from the Association for Experiential Education.

Amy has worked with companies in a range of fields including health care, finance, insurance, technology, restaurants, family foundations, non-profits, associations, colleges and universities, and summer camps. Her teachings are relevant to any industry or organization serious about getting creative and wanting to innovate.
