About the speaker
”Neo-burlesque is all about taking the audience down a rabbit hole into another world,” says burlesque performer and pole dancer Amber Eve.
Amber Eve has turned a passion into a career where she not only creates provocative art – she also gives workshops and lead others into revelating experiences that includes as disparate topics as creative expression, acceptance, body issues and feeling comfortable when meeting strangers.
Her candid talk also shows that performers in such a mythic genre as hers also face the same type of wrestling matches as we all do: How much of your real self do you put into your work? What makes any creative expression appeal to an audience?
Amber Eve also dares to open the lid of a can of worms: Has these performances got anything to do with sex work? Can you enjoy burlesque and pole dancing performances and still be a feminist?
