Alvin Lam

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alvin discovered his passion for drawing and painting at an early age. His path to becoming an artist wasn’t one that was laid by default though, nor was his love for Hong Kong a given by birth. In 2020, new to watercolor urban sketching, Alvin inadvertently embarked on a journey of 'rediscovering' his hometown as he captures untold stories one sketch at a time. Through watercolor and paper, Alvin uncovers the many treasures of Hong Kong —vanishing stories of an extraordinary generation whose devotion helped shape the Hong Kong today, and whose resilience shall inspire generations to come in a rapidly evolving Hong Kong.
