I am going to take a big fat moment to express my gratitude for being alive and well in Austin, Texas this morning.

If you do it right, ... the conversation you have in a meeting with a client is 99% about their business and their goals, and 1% about these esoteric tools that we as graphic designers have at our disposal to have them achieve those goals...

I like to look back at it now and laugh at how naive I was because it was an incredibly, incredibly romantic vision that materalized very quickly into a "This is ridiculous. Why am I this far into this?"

I had no idea what it would take financially to open a brewery; I had no idea how how to run the operations of a brewery, but I had a vision, and I believed in it.

Things that appear optimal and effortless and are effortless--easy, pleasant, nice--those aren't the things that lead to meaningful change.

There's no achievement until you have realized, that what you have achieved is the brick that you build the wall for the future.

Failing is, of course, it's ok. If you take it the right way, that you haven't failed, take it as an experience. But most of all be curious, thankful and proud about what you have done.

Always remember to be humble, passionate and determined.

Have an argument.

The economy is just a set of rules that you use to interact with the resources. It is not fixed, and our current model is unfixable.

We hold up the economy or the monetary system as these unchangeable veins that give life to our society but that thinking is really an illusion.

Many people believe that great designers get great clients. It's not true. It's the other way around.

Point the arrow. Just focus, think, dream all the time about what it is that you want to do, and who it is that you really are, and what makes you happy.

Ce que l'on essaye de faire ici, c'est de concevoir une fabrique dans laquelle l'environnement est contrôlé et qui permette à cette plante, qui n'est pas modifiée, de s'exprimer au mieux, dans les meilleures conditions, en utilisant notre technologie.

On essaye de proposer des fabriques de plantes qui utilisent la technologie connue dans nos régions pour pouvoir produire des choses un peu différentes : soit des produits alimentaires, soit des molécules pharmaceutiques.
