I was always put in a box as "I'm an artist. You're an artist. You have to do this. You have to do that." I didn't want to be that. I didn't want to be an artist. Most artists find a medium and they stick with it. I'm all over the map with my mediums. I wanted to find a way to have multiple mediums but also create a business out of it. play redirect heart

I think of the creativity this way: we are all humans, every one of us, is a raw bundle of creative energy, just bursting with creativity, the way we use our toothbrush and the way we put our clothes away and the way we figure out our schedules and all of that. Where design comes into the picture is in this structured way that we can manage that creativity. play redirect heart

That's serendipity to me. I had to go out and do something that I didn't want to do with one artist, which then turned into something completely different. play redirect heart
If we only focus on the moment that the glass smashed, we forget everything else that led up to that moment and everything else that comes afterwards. play redirect heart
The moment which the glass breaks reveals what was always there. It reveals the continuity. play redirect heart
Context is always equal to or greater than the instance in which something happens. Saying “it’s broken” only focuses on the one instance. play redirect heart
‘Broken’ allows us to ask those fundamental questions by looking at what we would normally discard and seeing what it has to tell us about something. play redirect heart
It's in the things that we throw away that actually most of our knowledge exist, the knowledge of context. play redirect heart
