THIS WAS AUGUST'S ACTION

While working on some of her food-projects, Titi Laflora again and again became aware of sounds, that were created by her cooking. She got to know the musician KEINKEIN, who produced most of his sounds out of samples. The idea for KitchenSoundPerformance was born, when Fräulein Terpsi joined their team. 

In August they performed at our very own CreativeMornings Vienna, in a session full of new experiences, a lot of good food and a great community.

Every month we motivate our community to tell us what they’re up to, if they need help on a certain project or are looking for someone to collaborate, by holding a lightning pitch. 

This month, we had Lilo Krebernik from ADhocPAD together with artist & designer Matt Jones presenting the Plastic Surgery:

as well as Kathrin Folkendt presenting her project about Austrian's female startup scene 12percent

Our monthly magazine, which features an illustrator, a quote by our friends the Typejockeys, an interview and essay and presents our team as well as the community will be online shortly!

Get creative – with the #VIECM Birthday Artworks!

Es gibt einen Grund zu feiern, denn seit bereits fast einem Jahr findet CreativeMornings nun in Wien statt!

CreativeMornings lebt von der Community, daher wollen wir Euch zum 1-jährigen Geburtstag einladen, Eure Kreativität zu beweisen!

Wie gehts?

Ihr habt die Möglichkeit eure eigene Illustration / Artwork zum Thema „Morning“ zu gestalten. Wir werden aus allen Einsendungen ein paar auswählen und diese dann siebdrucken und rahmen!

Dabei könnt Ihr eurer Kreativität freien Lauf lassen, es gibt nur ein paar Vorgaben, die zu beachten sind:

  • Vorlage: Da die Artworks gesiebdruckt werden, muss diese Vorlage verwendet werden. Im Dokument findet ihr auch die zu verwendenden Farben, das CreativeMornings Vienna Logo, Schnittmarken und 3 mm umlaufende Beschnittzugabe.
  • Thema: Die Artworks sollen unter dem Thema „Morning“ stehen.
  • Format: Das Format ist A5 hoch und wir werden auf durchgefärbtem pastellgrünen Papier (IQ color Grün MG28 von Mondi) drucken.
  • Farben: Die Illustration muss aus den zwei vorgegebenen Farben "Dunkles Petrol" (80/50/40/15) und "Rot" (0/100/100/0), oder aus Kombinationen der beiden bestehen.
  • Abgabe: Einsendungen einfach an vie@creativemornings.com schicken. Einsendeschluss ist der 22.5.2015. Einsendungen die nicht in der Vorlage angelegt sind, können wir leider nicht berücksichtigen.

CreativeMornings Magazine #11:

In our last CreativeMornings session it was all about saying yes to chances!

In November, Instagrammer & mobile photographer Marion Vicenta Payr inspired us with 5 life lessons she made on Instagram:

But Instagram is more than just a fun app to show beautiful things. It’s a useful tool for brands to reach their audience and tell their stories through others, that have a standing for a certain topic.

Marion alias @ladyvenom has been collaborating with a couple of brands in the fashion and automotive industry, and experienced that many brands still don’t really know how to use this photo sharing app.

Out of her experience, she summed up these 5 tips for brands to be ready for Instagram:

The first thing to keep in mind is that you are not posting for yourself but for your target group. So don't just post what you want to say but also think about what they want to here. 

Storytelling. One thing, that we should do before starting any activities, is to develop a content strategy that tells a story and touches fields and areas our target audience is interested in. Also think about seasonal events that you can use for telling a story to your customers.

But don't get blinded by the numbers! Some accounts may have big numbers of followers, but think twice, if  those are relevant for you.

Also pay attention to your numbers and use tools like iconosquare for analysis and to see which hashtags work for you.

If you make a campaign don't just post it onto your account. We don't just wanna tell our story ourselves. To build up credibility and reach our target group, we should work with influencers to create native advertising. The right influencers can make us reach our audience where they are already present and make them listen up.

Our next CreativeMornings on December 5th will be all about Education!

This time our event consist of two parts:

We will kick-off the morning with breakfast & coffee, followed by a talk from our speaker Franz Kühmayer, who will speak about “Learning & Leading — Lessons from organising the hardest motorcycle race on the planet.” The talk will be held in English.

This time right after the talk, you are invited to continue celebrating with us anddiscuss about this month’s topic EDUCATION at the first Morning Party, sponsored by4.0 Schools

The party starts at 10:00am and ends at 11:30am. 

Additionally our partner, the MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art is inviting all participants to explore the MAK DESIGN LABOR with free admission. 

The MAK regards itself as a laboratory of social knowledge and is a place of gathering, research, preserving and communicating, interactive learning and encounter, interaction and intercreativity. Not least because of its international branches and its cross-border activities, it is a forum for inter-cultural and artistic exchanges and blooming dialogue with designers, artists and architects . The flexible usable MAK FORUM is the “heart ” of the MAK DESIGN LABOR. It sees itself as a meeting place , showroom and experimental surface. In collaboration with designers and partners from research and industry, current design issues are analysed and presented in new formats.

There will be 80 tickets available this time, again it’s first come, first serve.

We look forward to seeing you again with delicious breakfast and interesting personalities! And keep your eyes open, there might be more surprises waiting for you…
