50 Amazing Editions of CreativeMornings Porto already done!
As 50 editions deserve a special celebration, we dedicated a whole different edition to this number: CreativeMornings with Cocktails! Weâve chosen Escola de Moda Gudi, the first fashion school in Portugal, to host the event. Instead of the traditional breakfast we had refreshing OPO Wine Spritzer drinks and delicious The Apple Factory caramelized apples to go with. We are grateful to these 3 amazing partners for making this event possible!

Although the session was totally different, we couldnât pass without the usual networking, so there was time to drink, eat and meet new people! After that 3 persons of the audience had the opportunity to present their very interesting projects in 90 seconds, in what we called Audience Takes the Stage: Nuno do Carmo from Cais, Sara Riobom from Portoalities and Marta Afonso from Atelier Karaka.

We invited a very special speaker to be with us today: Lisa Lang is a Futurist and an Inventor. She is one of Forbes Top 50 Women in Tech. She is a keynote & TEDx speaker and also a Technology in Fashion Adviser for the EU. So, you see, expectations where high!!! And she didnât disappoint us!

Lisa started telling us how her ideas came to mind. The main question she found herself asking was âWTF?â. It all started when she realized that being a software engineer meant wearing boring clothes. And she wanted to look pretty in that tech world, so she started searching for stories that were inspiring to her future and she got some ideas.
And
as she has a thing for light and LEDs, she started putting some in a
jacket. But it wasnât âthe thingâ yet, she wanted to make it
interactive, so she used a SIM card on the jacket to create some
animation with the lights. But⊠there were still so many ideas to
implement, she thought she had to leave her job and dedicate 100% to
it!

The
complexity of the whole processes implicated that engineers,
electricians, designers and others work in an integrated way to make
ideas come to products. She created the Elektrocouture and ThePowerHouse,
witch is now the European ThinkTank for fashion tech, wearable
technology, and smart textiles. Has she says very convincingly: âTechnology is our friend and it can be so beautifulâ!
At
the end we had a surprise! The Senior
Choir of the Fundação Manuel António da Mota
came to sing some pop hits with us. It was a beautiful ending in a
session dedicated to beautiful things!

We meet again on 19th of July at Synergy Coworking to talk about End! Donât forget to make your registration here!
