William Dickey

February 22, 8:30am - 10:00am CST. Hosted at The Impact Guild

part of a series on Symmetry

About the speaker

Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, William always wanted to open a business of his own. His unique style and outlook on life led to the birth of Aveda’s first mobile hair salon, HeadQuarters.

William started his career behind the chair at a luxury Aveda salon cultivating a diverse clientele. Inspired by his passion to educate, William shifted his career to teaching students and managing educators at the Aveda Institute Austin. From the knowledge he gained from his time at these two institutions, and his never-ending dream of owning his own business, William felt ready to take on the next facet of the industry and become a salon owner.

After years of planning, William created HeadQuarters. William is excited to share his experience of building this unique business model that is housed in a vintage 1968 Silverstreak trailer. From the physical build-out, to financial planning, juggling life with his business partner (and wife) Juliette Montoya, and their new baby - William wears many hats and is always striving to find that unique balance of work and life.
