It seems baked into our DNA to root for the underdog and to see them transcend to new levels. Considering the power of creativity and community, how can we inspire, open eyes to new perspectives, challenge, impart wisdom, and empower those around us who may feel like they are the underdog? How can we call upon our community and our own creativity when we personally feel like the underdog? And, what creative fire has come about from past times of being the underdog? About the Speakers:
Simone Ross is a Colorado native who grew up in Denverās Park Hill neighborhood. Simoneās upbringing instilled in her a strong sense of the importance of community, family, and building through investing in the success and dreams of one another.
JoFoKe (Joslyn Ford Keel) is a multi-genre singer-songwriter with Grammy nominations and a Dove Award win to her name as a contributing vocalist. A Denver native, she earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Music: Technical Voice from Fisk University, a historically Black college in Music City USA: Nashville, TN. JoFoKe (pron: Joh-Foh-Kee) can be found performing as a solo artist, with her band āaNem (and them)ā and duo project with Solomon Chapman, āSoJourn''. In addition to the aforementioned projects, JoFoKe is a highly sought after session vocalist, writer, vocal producer, director, clinician and performer.
Keyonna Chapman is a creative designer, mental health activist, brand marketing specialist, and co-owner of the Denver born brand Lawrence and Larimer Clothing + Supply Co.
