About the speaker
Our theme for this event is THREAD â a physical and metaphorical tool of creativity.
So we are delighted to invite Zethu Maseko, a London-based multidisciplinary artist, to the stage.
Tapestry is central to Zethuâs practice, weaving dream-inspired imagery with historical truths to explore mythological and unseen worlds. Her sound works, incorporating landscape audio and experimental vocals, delve into postcolonial identity, Afrofuturism, and healing, bridging past and future.
Zethuâs collaborative workshops in locations like Glasgow, Eswatini, and London inspire creative exchange. Recognized early in her career, she has received awards including the Universal Peace Federationâs Young Achiever Future Leader Award and the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2020.
Through Threads, Zethu reimagines identity and belonging, intertwining ancestral truths with shared futures.
