About the speaker
Tamara Hoogeweegen takes adventures in the world of materials to design innovation in wearables:
“The concept of clothing hasn’t changed in over a hundred years. Textiles still cover bodies and signify social codes, but shouldn’t there be more innovation? This is where I step in. Technology is developing faster and faster, and the textile industry is starting to feel the need for innovation.”
Tamara has a specific interest in smart textiles and wearable technology. After finishing a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Organization, Tamara started studying Industrial Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology because it combines what makes her happy in everyday life: culture, society, aesthetic, solving problems and being creative.
