ABOUT THE SPEAKERS David Green Chief Digital Officer at LYNK & CO, a role almost tailor made for this self-confessed ‘tech geek’ and digital innovator.
In this role David is relishing an era and a new brand opportunity where (finally) the worlds of automotive and consumer electronics are coming together.
David’s early career was in IT, but tempted by the offer of attractive company cars, he joined the motor industry and prior to LYNK & CO, he was Market Development Director for Volvo Cars. At Volvo, his responsibilities included e-commerce, urban mobility concepts for connected and autonomous vehicles,future retail and business innovation. Some of his achievements at Volvo includes patented digital key solution, the introduction of the ‘In-Car Delivery’ service, a ‘Peer to Peer’ car sharing concept and the strategic partnership with Microsoft, which led to a number of ‘firsts’ such as the HoloLens Augmented Reality Retail Experience.
As LYNK & Co’s Chief Digital Officer, David is responsible for overseeing a digital transformation in terms of the company’s car products. The connected car and the ecosystem around it is a primary focus of his work at LYNK & CO.
LYNK & CO is the new global car brand addressing the needs and preferences of a global connected generation and challenging car industry conventions. Its products are designed and engineered in Sweden and will be sold globally, starting with the 01 in China in 2017 followed by Europe and the U.S.
