About the speaker
Sean Petrie is a poet, author, and professor. As a founder of Austin's Typewriter Rodeo he’s written more than 20,000 poems for people all across the country. He also does weekly radio poems for NPR and is the author of several books for both kids and adults. With the other side of his brain, Sean teaches legal writing at the University of Texas School of Law. He also owns way too many typewriters.
Sean did his undergrad at UT (where he started the Camp Texas program), law school at Stanford, has an MFA in Writing for Kids from Vermont College, and lives in Bouldin Creek.
