Sanjeev Pednekar

Sanjeev Pednekar established Prani - The Pet Sanctuary, with the vision to build a platform for people to contribute to wildlife conservation by providing opportunities for exploration, education, and environmental engagement.
Prani has established a benchmark for outdoor educators and provided a unique experience for kids of all ages to safely interact with 750+ animals and birds. Through Prani, Sanjeev has worked with over 1000 schools in the last 6 years, to educate them about the outdoors and animals.

Sanjeev is also the founder of Into The Wild, where he has facilitated long-term hands-on experience & training in animal handling,
urban rescue, rehabilitation and management, and executed modules intended to build natural and outdoor skills in participants.

He is project lead for Haavu Mathu Naavu - a task force team was set up by Infosys Foundation to mitigate snake bites and prevent them based on WHO's research, where he manages, leads and creates the implementation strategy for the pan-India project that has reached more than 3,000 farmers alone in Karnataka.

Since 2007, Sanjeev has played an important role in facilitating various educational outreach programmes and wildlife workshops, creating learning strategies for multiple stakeholders like Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS), BBMP Forest Cell and the State of Manipur.
Sanjeev has been the recipient of many awards including Kannada Nakshatra Award by TV9 and Chanakya Award by Rajasthan University.
