About the speaker
Nairi Khatchadourian is a curator, art historian, founder of the curatorial practice AHA collective in Yerevan. Born in Paris, she lives in Armenia since 2015.
In museums, public spaces, abandoned factories, villages, heritage sites, she brings together artists, architects, designers, researchers, craft masters under the roof of AHA collective to renew the place of art within territories and societies.
She will talk about the role of art in critically engaging with the present with a deep care for people, places, and practices. Khatchadourian’s curatorial approach is situated at the intersection of contemporary art, independent publishing, critical museology, and placemaking.
