CreativeMornings Yerevan: February Reflections on Camino

February’s CreativeMornings Yerevan gathering was dedicated to the global theme “Camino” - Way / Path, exploring the journeys that shape our understanding of the world and ourselves.

Our speaker, Satenik Chookaszian - art historian, lecturer at YSU, and Head of the Decorative & Applied Arts Department at the National Gallery of Armenia - shared her perspective on the path of discovering Armenian art and heritage.

Through her research, Satenik explores Armenian art across centuries - from medieval manuscripts and murals to painting and silversmithing - searching for forgotten and unknown fragments of our cultural mosaic.

For her, the way is not simply a physical route. It is a process of discovery, restoration, and reconnecting with memory - a journey through symbols, ornaments, images, and forms that carry stories from the past into the present.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and walked this path together.

CreativeMornings Yerevan: January Reflections on Koorsoo

January’s CreativeMornings Yerevan gathering was dedicated to the global theme “Koorsoo” - uncertainty, a topic that resonates deeply in times when many of us search for clarity, direction, and meaning.

Our speaker, Davit Pedanyan, founder of Artmart, shared his reflections on how art can become a quiet yet powerful companion in uncertain moments. Rather than offering clear answers, art invites us to pause, to feel, and to reconnect with ourselves and the world around us.

Through the story of Artmart, Davit spoke about creating a space where creativity remains alive and accessible in Yerevan - from typography and animation to photography and pottery - giving people the opportunity to explore and express their creative voice.

The morning became a moment of reflection, connection, and inspiration for everyone who joined.

We are grateful to our community for sharing this thoughtful start to the day with us

CreativeMornings Yerevan: December Reflections on Innovation

During December’s CreativeMornings Yerevan, our theme was “Innovation,” and speaker Garegin challenged our assumptions about what innovation truly is. In an era where nothing seems surprising anymore, he reminded us that real innovation often means transforming existing tools, crafts, and technologies rather than abandoning them.

As a master printer, Garegin spoke about the beauty and precision of letterpress printing - an art that many have forgotten and few still value. Yet, in Armenia, only a handful of people remain skilled in this craft. Through his work as Founder and Art Director of TheSign Studio and TarPunk letterpress shop, and with over 25 years of branding experience, Garegin continues to innovate by bringing old technologies into the modern creative world.

Everyone is welcome to visit and witness how innovation and tradition collide - and how magic is still made by hand.

CreativeMornings Yerevan: November Reflections on Growth

We often assume growth means cutting, restarting, or replacing. But sometimes growth is quiet, patient, and continuous. As Sona Harutyunyan shared, real growth can happen when we evolve from where we are - without erasing what came before.

CreativeMornings Yerevan: October Reflections on Soft

In October, our community came together once again for CreativeMornings, this time around the theme #Soft.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined, listened, and shared your presence. With the inspiring guidance of our speaker, Nairi Khatchadourian, we continue to nurture a space where creativity, curiosity, and meaningful conversations can grow. 🌿💛
