Additional details

Sandra displays courage in her daily work and as a community leader advocating for organizations in Central Ohio – especially those focused on Gun Violence Prevention, Women/Girls issues and Immigration Reform.

Sandra is a Legislative Advisor for the Division of Community Engagement of the Columbus City Council, and a founding member of “Latinas in Ohio: Facing Challenges, Taking Action.“ In 2014, Sandra was recognized as the “Alma de la Comunidad” Award (Spirit of the Community Award) by the Latino Empowerment Outreach Network (LEON) and Ohio Commission on Hispanic and Latino Affairs. She has been as a mentor for the Latina Mentoring Academy since 2010, and currently serves on the Board of the Women’s Fund of Central Ohio.

At CreativeMornings, she will discuss how we can practice Courage to overcome Anxiety (January’s theme) and follow our Curiosity (February’s theme).

Our venue this month is Pat and Gracie’s downtown location in the Discovery District: 340 E Gay Street.

Pat and Gracie’s will be generously inviting you to taste treats from their brunch menu. And as always, we will be serving Crimson Cup coffee!
