About the speaker
Douglas Powell (artistically known as Roscoe Burnems) is a teaching artist, spoken-word artist, comedic artist, National Poetry Slam Champion, the first poet laureate of Richmond, VA and a proud father of three. He has dedicated his craft to educating and entertaining and using his art to creating challenging conversations and finding solutions.
