Actor and playwright Robby Ramos channels the spirit of punk through storytelling, identity, and resistance—proving that rebellion isn’t always loud, but it’s always honest.
About the speaker
Robby Ramos is a Miami-born Cuban-American actor, playwright, and director whose storytelling blends personal history and creative grit. Best known to TV audiences as “Diego Cottonmouth” on Netflix’s “Heels”, Robby has also made appearances on NCIS: Hawai’i, Chicago P.D. and most recently on “Duster” — a crime thriller series on HBO Max created by J.J. Abrams.
Off-screen, Robby’s creative voice comes alive in theater. His acclaimed play The Walls Have Ears—inspired by his grandfather’s experiences in a Cuban prison and set against the backdrop of the Cuban Missile Crisis—has resonated through sold-out readings and performances in Los Angeles and Miami. Now produced bilingually as Las Paredes Oyen, his work captures the emotional and cultural complexity of exile, family, and identity.
